![]() When I called to make the appointments, I had said that I was interested in the Hydrating but was not sure which my Mom and Sister would like, the receptionist told me not to worry, that we could decide when we got there which one we wanted. Another thing, when you call to make your appointments, make sure you specify whether you would like their basic pedicure, the Focus pedicure ($57.00), or the Hydrating pedicure ($70.00), which has a nice exfoliating scrub included. The color selections for polish were abundant, there is no shortage for selection or creativity here! If you happen to have gel polish on your nails or toes before heading here.remove it as they will charge you extra if they have to remove it, I believe it was an extra $10.00 to remove gel polish. The pedicure room is very nice, large comfortable chairs with massaging control, we were offered herbal neck wraps, and water. They were ready to take us back for our pedicures as soon as we arrived. When we walked in the salon atmosphere is very nice, tastefully decorated, with a nice waiting area. It was a Saturday when we visited, so the ramp was free as well which was nice, not sure if they charge to park here during weekdays or not. The area has plenty of cute shops and boutiques, I highly recommend going early and shopping or allowing for time after your appointment to do so! This is the 50th & France area so it seems to always be busy as far as traffic goes, but we were able to park in a small ramp right in front of the salon so did not have far to walk at all. Our appointments were for 2:30pm, after lunch. It had been years since we have visited the salon as we live in the south suburbs, so the location takes a little time to travel to for us. I made pedicure appointments for a surprise 40th Birthday Present here for my Sister, and to pamper my Mom for an early Mother's Day gift in May. I also recommend arriving early to wind down before services. I highly recommend Spalon when booking spa days as they have the range of services and facility that makes it an enjoyable splurge. For a short while I worked at a competitor and I'd say Spalon is a better value and experience. They discounted that portion of the package and gave me an additional parting gift so they certainly stepped up to correct it. Unfortunately the massage had to be cut short. I arrived early in order to take advantage of this but it took awhile for us all to figure out what happened. I questioned it because in the past when one is using a package, they have you go to the locker room to change into a robe and wind down in the relaxing inner sanctum waiting room. The person who checked me in asked me to sit in the general waiting area. And I don't want to chat while having my hair blown anyway! The one downfall (that was rectified) was check in. ![]() I have a feeling she's a newby as conversation was a little awkward - but that comes with age and experience. Taylor did the blow dry and she did a good job as well. ![]() ![]() Note to Jasmyn, sorry I drooled on your floor - the massage was that good! Nou did an excellent pedicure, my feet still look good 2 weeks post pedi. Side note: one can always add more time to a package (you just pay the difference) - I wish I would have. The massage did not feel rushed as it has at other places when time was an issue. However she asked me what to focus on and she was able to do a good job there in addition to other spots. I like a firm touch and she delivered, because of the time limitation on the package there wasn't the necessary time needed. Jasmyn did my massage and I'm seriously considering using her as my new go-to. I was very happy that this experience was better than others I had 5+ years ago. I have my usual and longtime hairstylist, esthetician, and masseuse so I don't often use the services at Spalon - only when I get a package. My husband gave me a mini-retreat package as a birthday gift.
